My wife and I stayed at Petinos Beach Hotel for 4 nights in April, 2005, and had a great stay. IMPORTANT - when we first checked in, they tried to put us in the nearby Petinos Hotel (~60 euros/night), operated by the same folks. Those rooms were small and OK, BUT the rooms at Petinos Beach Hotel, across the street were much bigger and nicer, with lovely beach front balconies and well worth the extra 20 euros/night we spent to stay there. This was our 1st visit to Mykonos and we loved it. The island is beautiful and the main town was very nice. We liked staying out of town (~4 miles?) on the beach at Petinos. The Hotel has a very nice breakfast buffet (included) which is a great way to start your day. There is a very nice pool if you don't want to swim in the ocean (both we too cold when we were there). There are several very nice restaurants right next door and a friendly beachfront Quick-mart with wine, beer, munchies, etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We rented a small rental car one day and drove all over the Island, visiting the many beaches. It was lots of fun, although some of the roads were pretty steep! Another day we took to ferry to nearby Delos to visit the ancient ruins, paid for a guide (10 euros/person) and had a great time! Enjoy your stay!

The Petinos Beach Hotel was great. Be sure and let them know when you arrvive if by speed ferry so that they can pick you up in their van. The Hotel is next to the other Petinos hotels but the Petinos Bech Hotel is right on the beach shore at the end of the road. The hotel is a bit higher than all the others so you have a magnificent view of the bay. There are numerous hotel restaurants that serve incredible food, many with music. There is also ferry service right at the bottom of the hotel if you want to go to any of the other beaches. The ride itself is fantastic and the other beachs all have unique characteristics. The staff at the hotel were warm and family like. Elena, the day receptionist, was like all the rest of the staff friendly, helpful and all spoke English quite well. The room was very comfortable with television and air conditioning. Although warm, there was always a breeze (End of July 2003) that made it feel cool. There are several minimarts all around and taxis and buses going downtown which was really fun day or night. Day for shopping and night for cafe and night club action.
